An upcoming Dublin event will connect the principles of World Humanitarian Day with practical skills that can be used in everyday community service.
The programme will be held at the Church of Scientology & Community Centre of Dublin and will explore communication, organisation and constructive assistance.
The event reflects the view that humanitarian action is not limited to major emergencies. Practical help provided at community level can make a meaningful difference to people facing personal or social difficulties.
The methods presented are connected with the Scientology Volunteer Ministers programme, established by Mr. L. Ron Hubbard as a religious community-service initiative. The programme is guided by the principle that “Something can be done about it” and provides training in subjects such as communication, conflict resolution, organisation and assistance to others.
